As you know, the revolution in information technology which began at the end of the last century completely changed our lifestyle. These days, you can find all sorts of information from all over the world easily through the internet, but most of it is written in English. Also, executives in the world are using English as a communication tool to perform their jobs and make their decisions.

We believe that it is essential to have English communication skills for it is the” world ‘s common language” to understand the global dynamics happening around us.

Okinawa International School (OIS) was established in April of 2003 and was the first total English language immersion School in Naha City.

Since 2007, we begun providing the best standards of education following the   program  of the International Baccalaureate Organization in our aspiration to bring up each child as “Global Citizens”. In July 2011, we became the one and only International Baccalaureate Organization Licensed School in Okinawa.
