Our theme this year is: ‘Arriba! Festivals Around the World’. As we are now an IB certified school, we wanted a theme that celebrates our international environment and curriculum. Each grade level was assigned a continent chosen at random by the teachers. The students then had to research and decide on a country within that continent and a festival that the culture celebrated. As most festivals contain some type of music and dance, we wanted to incorporate that into our 2012 school play. The rich history of these festivals and the people who celebrate them lent themselves to create excellent dramas. We hope you enjoy our version of festivals around the world.

 今年のスクールプレイのテーマは‘Arriba! Festival Around the World’「さぁ、世界のお祭りをのぞいてみよう!!」です。2011年、OISはIB校に認定されました。そのお祝いの意味も込め、世界7大陸のお祭りをテーマにしました。各クラス、割り当てられた大陸の中から国を一つ選び、その国で行われるお祭りを題材としています。お祭りの歴史やお祝いの文化など、音楽やダンス、劇を通して楽しく演じます。2012年、私たちOISのお祭りを一緒に楽しんでください。
