     In OIS, we wear this badge to show we care!
     Currently, we are raising funds to help those who were affected by the earthquake and tsunami.

     School play is one of the highlights of every school year in OIS. Each year, we do something different and special to show our parents and friends how we have grown.　　Hummingbirds remembered the beat of the songs as they moved their little feet and hands. You could also hear them, shouting "Up!" and "Down!". Cygnets were adorable in their flashy costumes as they shimmied to the song "Under the Sea". You could really see how the preschoolers enjoyed their presentation.

     The Owlet Class combined with the Eaglet 1 Class staged a marvelous musical with their own version of "Urashimataro". It was cute but filled with a lesson that we all should be kind to animals. Of course, the Eaglet 2 Class did not fall behind the showcase of talents. They delivered their lines and acted out emotions very well. They also conveyed the lesson of the story clearly and that is when Grandpa said: "Just because someone looks different and scary, it does not mean he is a bad person!"

     Everyone sighed as they watched "Briar Rose", presented by the Grade 1 and 2 classes. It was a happy-ever-after twisted tale of Sleeping beauty with additional interesting characters. It was another brilliant musical performance!

     There is no place like home! "Alice in Oz Land" was a grand presentation by the Grades 3,4 and 5 classes. The exposure and experience they had from previous school plays and units of inquiry in "How We Express Ourselves", developed their creativity and artistic capabilities.The students choreographed their dance, arranged their blockings and coached each other on how to make their acting and voice projection much better. The result- a fantastic musical! With the hilarious characters and heart-warming song, it was truly remarkable!

     We would like to thank everyone especially our dear parents for making the costumes.

     We are very proud of our students!
