MYP Community Project Presentation

The Middle School Department of our school will be having this school year’s “Community Project Presentation” on January 23, 2021 (Saturday) at 10:00 – 11:20 at the 2F Multipurpose Hall of OIS Nanjo Campus. We cordially invite you to witness this big event for our Grade 8 students as they present their project. The students themselves will explain the entire process of the project and their reflection on the presentation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

 

To briefly explain, a Community Project is one of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) projects that encourage students to reflect on their learning and the outcomes of their work – key skills that prepare them for success in further study, the workplace and the community. Through these projects, students experience the responsibility of completing a significant piece of work over an extended period of time. And it also provides an important opportunity for students to collaborate and pursue service learning.

As a preventive measure of the school against the spread of CoVID19, we have decided to limit the number of guests in the venue of the presentation. However, we would still like to take the opportunity to share the presentation to the community by offering live streaming via the video conferencing platform Zoom.
