How is the number of classes at OIS different from public schools?
The biggest difference is that we have many classes that students play using English. Not learning passively but learning voluntarily while trying to solve their own questions, they show the attitude to learn to think how those will be utilized in the real world. These are our big features.
Can a child with no experience in studying English enter OIS?

The basic skills to keep up with classes smoothly is necessary. However, the desire and ambition to seriously acquire English skill is more important.

What kind of teachers teach at OIS?

All the teachers both foreign and Japanese have a teaching license, and they have received training for the International Baccalaureate (IB) education.

Do parents need English competency?

No. Parents and foreign teachers have smooth communication with the support of Japanese assistant teachers.

Can a student enter OIS during the school year?

Yes. If there is an opening and the student meets requirements, enrollment is accepted.

What kind of assessment should I take?

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information.
