Summer School for OIS STUDENTS

What is OIS Summer School?

This is an inquiry-based summer school program using English to learn about environmental issues and local culture under the theme of "SDGs" in Okinawa!

This unique program is a collaboration between Okinawa International School, an international baccalaureate school in Okinawa, and HelloWorld, which has delivered international exchange programs to over 80,000 people in Japan and abroad!

Through a variety of SDGs-themed activities, students will not only improve their English skills, but also develop global leaders who can positively transform various social issues.

We have 21 years of experience as an international school. We provide support for those who are not accustomed to English.

Children will learn English while having fun in an unusual environment, and will develop the ability to live in the international society of the future, including the ability to think creatively, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership.

Since the program is in Japan, it is safe and secure. School buses run on multiple routes, so there is no need to worry about picking up and dropping off your children. ( The school buses operate on routes and at stops set by OIS).

Many parents enjoy vacationing and traveling in Okinawa while their children attend the school.

Parents' Comments

It was great to be able to give them an inquiry-based education. It was a good experience for them as they seemed to enjoy learning, unlike cramming type learning.
(Tokyo, 2nd grade, Elementary School)

I feel that the experience of learning English in a fun way has helped them to feel closer to English and to other countries. It was a good opportunity for me to learn English as well, as I was able to take up speaking and writing without any resistance.
(Tokyo, 1st grade, Elementary School)

Every year, there are intriguing and fun activities, and I wanted to participate again. The support system is also very well organized, so I feel comfortable participating.
